Simple and quick to prepare, this laid back snack combines classic spices that radiate Christmas coziness.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups walnut halves
1 ½ cups pecan halves
¾ tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground allspice
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground cloves
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1/8-1/4 tsp coarse salt
2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
Method
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Add nuts to a large mixing bowl.
3. In a small bowl, combine spices, sugar, salt and coconut oil. Add to nuts and toss until nuts are completely coated.
4. Bake in 350°F oven for 10-12 minutes until fragrant. Let cool before serving.
Yield 3 cups
