Orange County Burger

Nuburger’s entry for Le Burger Week 2016 features a zingy orange salsa and a blast of heat from sweet chilli mayo.
INGREDIENTS
Orange Salsa
2 oranges
1/2 cup red grapes
2 tsp tomatoes, diced
2 tsp red onions, diced
pinch sea salt
pinch pepper
1 tsp fresh mint, chopped
Sweet Chilli Mayo
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
4 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce
Burger
4 burger buns
4 Manitoba beef patties
8-12 slices bacon
3/4 cup goat cheese
1 cup mixed greens
1 tomato, sliced
METHOD
Orange Salsa
1. Slice peel off the oranges, removing all outer pulp. Slice oranges and grapes gently, to prevent crushing, until diced. Orange pieces should be about 1/4” and grapes half the size of the orange pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients, mixing gently with a rubber spatula
Sweet Chilli Mayo
1. Whisk all ingredients together until combined.
Burger
1. Grill beef patties and toast buns. Spread buns with mayo.
2. Top bottom bun with orange salsa, beef patty, bacon, goat cheese, greens, tomato and top half of bun.
