This recipe comes from Bob Blumer, AKA the Surreal Gourmet, and will appear in his forthcoming cookbook, Surreal Gourmet Bites. Says Blumer: “Blame it on my twisted, surreal sense of humour, but nothing seems funnier than seeing your friends drinking (what looks like) Pepto-Bismol, with a straw. But read on, the prank is not without its sweet rewards”.
Ingredients
3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled or frozen, thawed
3 cups vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 cups milk
6 oz Chambord or Framboise (raspberry liqueurs)
Method
In a blender, purée ingredients in 2 batches. Serve in drained and cleaned 4 oz Pepto-Bismol bottles or facsimiles, with straws.
